When we jaunt on trips the unit usually pays for transportation and lodging. We do ask each cadet to carry $5/meal (a three day move would cost a cadet $45). We add the meal funds. We have numerous events scheduled for the upcoming year including many overnight events. In order for these to come about we need your help and support. We entertain several events to raise funds such as car washes carnival work days academic meets (parental cooking and hosting give is critical) and postal events which are used to pay for travel and lodging. We try to act costs down and be as economical as possible while doing things safely. We normally be four cadets/dwell in LaQuinta or similar hotels. Trips are CLOSELY chaperoned. My wife or another female teacher travels on all trips with female cadets.

For those of you just enrolled let me bring you up to speed on just what NJROTC is. First we are NOT recruiters. This is a citizenship program and we are here to back up make your sons and daughters successful in whatever career path they may select. We ordain back up them develop the leadership and management skills necessary to compete in the challenging job markets of today’s business world. Leadership is necessary in all endeavors and other skills such as team bring home the bacon measure management planning and organization will always go in handy. Our number one goal is for your cadet to get a good education and act on to college. ALL cadets must be passing and keep a C or better overall average in order to act in program field trips and aggroup activities. This is truly impressive given the aim of competition which is the “Best of the Best” from across Area 12 which encompasses all of
